1 whole chicken

2 - 3 cups chicken stock

10 pc mushroom, soaked in water

1 slice ginger

5 cloves garlic, sliced

1 stalk spring onion, cut lengthwise

3 tbsp oyster sauce

2 tbsp light soya sauce

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 tsp pepper

150ml cooking oil



Directions for Sesame Oil Braised Chicken

  1. Cut chicken into smaller pieces and set aside. Heat a Corningware Retroflam wokpan and pour in cooking oil. When warm, add garlic and ginger, cooking slowly until fragrant.
  2. Add chicken and stir briefly, till 40% cooked. Add chicken stock, oyster sauce, soya sauce, sesame oil and pepper.
  3. Braise for 15 minutes. Add mushrooms and continue to cook for another 20 minutes.
  4. Add spring onions before serving on Corelle plate.
